Huckleberries Online

Question of the Day (3/17/05)

Issue: Citizen's arrest attempt of Schiavo, judge: Green Beret Bo Gritz intervened in Ruby Ridge to escort family to safety/WorldNetDaily.

DFO: Bo Gritz, a controversial, decorated Vietnam War vet, did a great service to this region when he persuaded Randy Weaver to leave his cabin 12 1/2 years ago, ending the fatal standoff with the feds. He's off the right side of the charts and has done weird things, including attempting suicide. Occasionally, however, he's right, as in this case. You can find his statement about Schiavo here.

Question: Is Gritz grandstanding? Or has he found another noble cause and should stick his 2 cents in? And should there be a limit to how many times a person should seek his 15 minutes of fame?
