Quick Fix 6 (3/22/05)

Another high-and-mighty judge orders Terri Schiavo starved to death like a dog here. May God have mercy on Terri. But not the individuals who are putting her to death in this cruel and inhumane way.

1. Political 'Toon Fix: Gary Varvel (Terri Schiavo), Paul Nowak (Oil refining), and Wayne Stayskal (Public cell phone use).

2. Humor Fix: "Isn't it amazing? Robert Blake was found not guilty. And his lawyer was very clever. The defense was based on the premise, "What kind of idiot kills his wife after buying her dinner?" -- Jay Leno.

3. My Way Fix: This Day in History here, Today's Birthdays here, and Positive Quote here.

4. Top of the News Fix: Teen rampage leaves 10 dead here, Killer was neo-Nazi "angel of death" here, Sex is turning off movie audiences here, Illegal alien population surging here, and Judge: Florida girl's killing 'beyond words' here.

5. Media Bias Fix: Much ado has been made of that ABC Poll that seems to indicate that most Americans believe Terri Schiavo should be put to death for the crime of being severely disabled. However, the way the question was framed by the biased pollsters had much to do with the response here.

6. Opinion Fix: Brendan Miniter/Wall Street Journal ("Culture of Life"), U.S. Sen. George Allen/Washington Times (Call Senate Demos' bluff), John Podhoretz/New York Post (One-term Hillary?), Mark Steyn/Daily Telegraph (Death of liberal West), and Cal Thomas/Tribune Media Services (Schiavo case matters).
