SR Morning Headlines (3/24/05)

*Sheriff promotes political supporters: Sterk names Brady to jail post, Wiyrick as undersheriff/Jonathan Brunt and Thomas Clouse, SR -- Remember that Stephen King miniseries, "Kingdom Hospital"? And the anteater type thing? You do me a solid; I'll do you a solid. Seems to work at Ess Cee Ess Oh.

*Investors buy landmark brewery building: Schade building goes for $1.7 million/Alison Boggs, SR -- It ain't The Davenport. But it's cool what these guys are doing any way.

*RPS ruling pits city vs. its ex-bond attorney: Taxpayers may be left holding bag if city can't prove firm guilty of malpractice/Jim Camden, SR -- Did someone say the RPS word? Wash his mouth out with soap.

*Development gets its first restaurant with addition of San Francisco Sourdough sandwich store: 2 more businesses moving into Riverstone/Nils Rosdahl, SR -- For a minute there, I thought the guy in the picture (follow the link) was fixing cracked cement at the BNSF refueling depot. (Ed Note: Your comment's nothing but a gratuitous swipe at the railroad. DFO: And your point is ...)

*Driver gets community service: Teen also on probation for leaving critically injured girl/John Craig, SR -- Sahhhhh-lap. That's the sound a judge slapping a cold-hearted teen's wrist. Judicial tongue-lashing, community service take the place of justice in this case.
