Huckleberries Online

Peanut Gallery (Celebrate Terri’s Life)

Speaking from a little left of center, the battle for Terri's life wasn't a case of Right vs. Left; it was a case of trying to treat a human being with respect and dignity. This may fall on deaf ears, but it sure would be nice if we could celebrate Terri's life today, pray for her family and leave the politics out of it.

Former Mike

DFO: On the way to work, I consider that doing just this, Mike: Celebrating Terri's life. And I'll try to do that as the day goes on. But the barbarity of her judicial execution and the compliance of the American public shouldn't be forgotten. Or the lesson won't be learned. We can't let this happen again. It's one thing to unplug a person who can't live without extraordinary measures and will die quickly. It's another thing to unplug a person who is healthy, somewhat responsive and can breathe and drink on her own. And then must suffer for 13 days without food and water. But there'll be other things to discuss today, as always.
