Q & A

Question: DFO, will you do an endorsement vs victory rundown for us? I know the Spokesman endorsed Kennedy and Bodman and the Press endorsed Souza and McAvoy. The SR favored the jail issue and the Press opposed. Curious to see which paper came out ahead in the endorsements/wins — Jane Q. Citizen.

DFO: We don’t pick candidates for bragging purposes. But here’s the comparison. You nailed the endorsement differences above. We backed Bloem, Kennedy, Goodlander and McEvers in CDA, Bodman in Post Falls, and supported the sales tax (which did receive 61% of the vote despite bashing by the Press and Concerned Businesses). The Press picked Bloem, Souza, Goodlander and McEvers in CDA, McAvoy in Post Falls, and opposed the sales tax.
