Quick Fix 6 — 11/11/05

1. Hong Kong film star Jackie Chan, center, poses with the five mascots for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games after they were unveiled in Beijing's Workers' Stadium earlier today. 2. Cartoon Fix: Daryl Cagle (France is burning), Bill Schorr (CIA secret prisons), and Mike Keefe (Fall 2005).

3. Humor Fix: David Letterman's "Top Ten Good Things About Being An 18-year-old Mayor" here.

4. My Way Fix: This Day in History here, Today's Birthdays here and Word of the Day here.

5. Top of the News Fix: Teen holds 2-vote lead in Michigan mayor's race here, Woman robs 4 banks while on cell phone here, 'Halloween' producer dies after Jordan bombings here, Wal-Mart Christmas boycott ends with apology here, and NFL reaches agreement to return to LA here.

6. Opinion Fix: John McCain/U.S. Senate (Winning the war in Iraq), Oliver North/Townhall (Hollywood: Rotten to the Corps), Charles Krauthammer/Washington Post (Running out of gas), Frederica Mathewes-Greene/National Review (Thumbs up to new "Pride and Prejudice"), and Tom Purcell/Washington Times (The veteran's soul).
