Question of the Day — Where Were You?

This is a Nov. 22, 1963 file photo from the John F. Kennedy Library & Museum showing President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy arriving at Love Field in Dallas.

Issue: 42nd anniversary of JFK’s assassination

DFO: I was a freshman at Gridley Union (Calif.) High School. I’d just finished lunch and was headed for chemistry class when someone mentioned that the president had been shot. By the time I arrived at class, it was confirmed that JFK had died. School was let out. And I wandered over to a friend’s house, stunned by the news.

Question: What were you doing when you heard the news?
