Say Hi to Her Sandiness, Tell Her HBO Sent You

Members of a committee working to bring a $29 million community center to Coeur d'Alene will staff Salvation Army kettles this holiday season. The Ad Hoc Community Center Committee, led by Mayor Sandi Bloem, will assist with the annual holiday fund-raiser by manning the kettles at the Coeur d'Alene Fred Meyer store on Saturdays and Sundays between Nov. 26 and Dec. 18. The bell-ringing will underscore the community's desire to work with The Salvation Army and show the support behind Coeur d'Alene's desire for a Salvation Army community center, said committee member and former City Council President Nancy Sue Wallace. For more information call the Mayor's Office at 769-2204.
