Blogging Can Be Hell, Part II — Morning Features

I appreciate the comments posted below under "Blogging Can Be Hell." I don't think I'm in danger of burnout, by a long shot, but I am frustrated from trying to balance the duties of my day job with blogging. I enjoy blogging and feel renewed each Monday when I begin the week.

Jane Q. Citizen may have touched on something when she suggested breaking the blog down into 3 periods during the day. The morning stuff, from 8 to 10 a.m., an hour or so at noon, and the evening stuff -- unless there's breaking news. Also, I probably should cut down on the number of posts. And mebbe I should take that last step and go even more local/regional. I've flirted with that step before, but I haven't wanted to chase off commenters/blurkers who read Huckleberries from elsewhere in the country, like our good friend The Heimlich Maneuver from Oklahoma City. However, being all things to all people can make Dave a dull by. (I know that doesn't line up.

I'd like to begin a conversation with you over the course of the next two weeks. After that, I'm taking a week off to host my son and his wife who are flying in from Denver for some time off. If you don't mind, I'd like you folks to rate the different standing features on the blog, from one (*) to five stars (*****), with five being the highest. Further, I'd like your thoughts about the individual items. So, let's start with the morning roundup. Pleaz rate the following on a one- to five-star basis:

1. Quick Fix 6
2. WorldNetDaily Poll
3. SR Letter of the Day
4. Local Question of the Day
5. Photo of the Day
6. Huckleberries AM Headlines (sometimes)

Attention, Blurkers (viewers who visit but don't comment), this is the time to put your 2 cents in. Come up with a good pseudonym and answer away.
