Eye On Boise: Senate Kills Property Tax Reform

Meghann Cuniff/Eye On Boise: The big property tax bill, HB 876, just failed in the Senate on a 15-20 vote. All Panhandle senators voted for the bill, which would have shifted school maintenance and operation funding from the property tax to an increased sales tax.

Dan of the County: Listening to the vote go against the property tax relief bill was kind of like replaying the last few minutes of the Gonzaga game (or about the last 3 quarters of the Seahawks Superbowl appearance).

DFO: As the Brooklyn Bums used to say: Wait’ll next year.
