Bearable Bob: Herb, I think your two choices are absurd…an out of control chat room vs serious forum…it’s both, it’s more, it’s a mix. That’s why people come here…because it has its serious side and because it can be goofy and fun…Herb before you whine at me as some horrid troublemaker, you might want to pay a little closer attention to the topics DFO posts…he runs a mix…some are more conducive to quiet thoughtful contemplation marked by threads of near interstellar logic and reason and others he posts are invitations to jump into a wading pool full of green jello in our bikinis and wrassle and wrassle.

Dave Tolle: Some bloggers immediately regress N2 spittle name calling and rampant insults. Rather than intellectually discuss their positions on any topic or issue they work quickly to worm the thread into the gutter of emotional tit 4 tats. They thrive on it. They think it’s cute or funny. Being assinine is their signature. It’s them who send people like Alice Rankin to the blurking sidelines and no doubt keeps many from contributing.

Any Mouse: Alice is a lady. This blog is often not the kind of place a lady wants to be seen.
