Mailbag: End of the World Scenario?

Thom George: DFO; #9? Don’t you forsee an end of world scenario with this type of strategy?

DFO: Every time something heat’s up in the Middle East, I see an end of the world scenario. As I look at prophecy in Scripture, I see that it all goes down in the Middle East. With Israel right in the middle of it. The first Iraq war coulda triggered it. And, certainly, the table is set now for all hell breaking loose into an Armageddon fight, with the world’s one superpower enmeshed in a sectarian fight that doesn’t appear to have an end close by. Then, that’s the view of an Evangelical who uses Scripture as a filter for these sort of things. Hal Lindsey of “Late Great Planet Earth” fame made a bundle three decades ago predicting the end is near. And we’re still going, like the Energizer bunny. Mebbe the end is a long way off?
