DFO: I’ve had the pleasant experience of getting to know a young Muslim woman during the past year, colleague Rasha Madkour. Wonderful person. If she was the face of Islam, I’d have a very favorable impression. The extremists in the Middle East who advocate the annihilation of Israel are something else. I’m reluctant to paint with a broad brush here. I guess I don’t know enough re: how Islam plays out in the lives of most adherents to make a call yet.

Question: Do you have a favorable or unfavorable view of Islam?
