HBO — to Westsider

Westsider: “To expand on Thom George’s note above: The Congressional Budget Office has estimated that $320 billion has been spent on Iraq and Afghanistan… Or to put it another way — from the front page headling of The Seattle Times today: Irag war is costing $100,000 per minute.”

DFO: I saw this same story in the Times this morning, Westsider. Although I support the purpose for the war, the figure of $100,000 per minute takes my breath away. And that probably doesn’t include enough body armor and other protection to keep our troops more out of harm’s way. War is hell. And expensive as hell.
