HBO — to Sue re: Hillary’s Health Care

Sue: "I believe Hillary did fight tooth and nail for fair health care, which I believe is a number one priority for this country, only to be mocked and vilified by the majority republicans in congress. That's the reason there's no teeth, no aggressive defense of workers in this country. We need to see what a Democrat President and a Democrat congress could do for us."

DFO: When she wasn't commandeering the war room to snuff hubby's bimbo eruptions or furnishing her New York home with White House silverware and accessories, Hillary tried to nationalize one-seventh of the nation's health-care system. And was soundly rejected by the American people. An interesting sidelight to the first-term fiasco was that she illegally tried to hold secret meetings to do so. I'm thankful that Bill was forced to deal with a Republican Congress at the time. Or that major tax increase he hit us with at the beginning of his first term might have become a way of life for us. As is, he and the Republican Congress marched us toward a balanced budget. Mebbe what we need is a split governance rather than one-party governance. The Republicans have been less than impressive running things.
