Run On USFS Land …

HBO hears (from SReporter Jim Hagengruber) that people were lined up at the USFS Panhandle office this morning waiting to protest — and in some instances) buy forest land being considered for sale by the Bush administration. Spokesman Dave O’Brien told Hagengruber that he has never seen citizens so angry at a proposal before. Among the early risers was one guy who wanted a first shot at buying part of English Point on Hayden Lake for development. Nothing’ll be for sale until after a 30 day comment period. Meanwhile, HBO joins protesters who contend that the Bush administration is out to lunch on this one.
