The blogfest at the Captain’s Wheel in Bayview made for an interesting Saturday afternoon. Good conversation. Good companions. A common interest in making the HBO blog community into something better than ever. My wife warned me about attending. “You guys might be disillusioned when you finally meet face to face.” That wasn’t the case. If anything, we seemed to know each other so well that we began conversing easily and immediately, as if we were long-time friends sitting around a table at a coffee shop. Who knows? Mebbe the others were disillusioned when they met me for the first time. Stebbijo said she was surprised that I’m as laid back as I am. (I hope she never sees me a few minutes before a newspaper deadline. I can bite heads of chickens as such times.) Anyway, it was fun. Mebbe Herb, Cis and Mari will throw a bigger bash next time. Meanwhile, here’s your Sunday Wild Card …
