Extra! Bush Threatens Veto Over Ports Deal

Issue: Bush threatens veto over U.S. ports deal: Rejecting of measure to stop Arab takeover would be 1st time president has used power/WorldNetDaily; and: Arab Americans see bigotry behind ports uproar: ‘I find some of the rhetoric being used against this deal shameful and irresponsible’/Reuters; and: Carter supports Bush on ports deal: ‘I’m sure the president’s done a good job … to make sure this is not a threat’/Miami Herald

“There have been some dumb decisions since the United States was attacked on Sept. 11, 2001, including the ‘welcoming’ of radical Muslim groups, mosques and schools that seek by their preaching and teaching to influence U.S. foreign policy and undermine the nation. But the decision to sell port operations in New York, Newark-Port Elizabeth, Baltimore, Miami, Philadelphia and New Orleans to a company owned by the UAE may be the dumbest of all.”

Columnist Cal Thomas/“Any Port in a Terrorist Storm”
