Question of the Day — 7/3/06

Jeremy Reed in action against the California Angels/AP

Issue: Tough breaks for M’s: Reed fractures thumb; Seattle loses chance to lead division/Seattle PI

DFO: Seattle finished the first half of the 2006 season with a 42-40 record, one game out of first place. Then, the Mariners lost a game they should have won as well as centerfielder Jeremy Reed, who broke his thumb diving for a fly ball.

Question: How will the Mariners due from now until the end of the season? A division title? Or a flop?
