Peanut Gallery: LaRocco’s Double Speak Tango

IDVandal: In the May 1, 2006 edition of the Capitol Hill newspaper "Roll Call", ("LaRocco Quits D.C. for a Shot at No. 2") LoRocco criticized Risch for only representing Ada County and not representing the rest of the state. Now, after LoRocco returns to Idaho and sees that Risch really does reach out to the entire state, he criticizes him for traveling around the state too much. Sounds like typical DC double speak and political opportunism to me.

DFO: I was surprised when LaRocco criticized Gov. Risch for moving ever closer to calling a special session to rein in property taxes -- and for using his privilege as chief exec to fly around the state. 'Tis refreshing to see the short-term governor tackling problems left undone by the previous administration -- and not simply being a caretaker guv. LaRocco, whom many Idahoans don't know or can't remember, has been placed in an ever-increasing tight spot as he runs for lt. gov. by the Risch's competence and aggressiveness as guv.
