Any Mouse: Gonzaga Graduating Future Soldiers
Any Mouse: The most recent GU commencements ceremonies included a decent percentage of folks who wore Class A uniforms, butter bars and berets instead of caps and gowns. Impressive young soldiers. They'd take old haight-ashbury types apart like a cat with a dead pigeon if they were so inclined. Instead they are taking up arms as warriors. God bless them, every one.
DFO: My niece, Hannah, graduated from the ROTC program at Portland State a year ago and is now one of the brave young soldiers trying to hold turbulent Afghanistan together until democracy takes hold. I find myself holding my breath when I read about the increasing violence in Afghanistan now. I agree with Any Mouse: God bless them, every one.
