Hard 7: Spokane Cops Can't Be Trusted In Probe

The astonishing fact that (as this story notes) the report also fails to mention the mask placed over Zehm's face--the one with the small air hole, the one not attached to any oxygen--raises further serious questions about the thoroughness and credibility of the police investigation. This does not represent an adequate investigation of the incident. It is a gift-wrapped, get-out-of-jail-free card to send to the prosecutor. This document underscores why the SPD cannot be trusted to investigate itself.
