We broke new ground at Huckleberries Online this week, HBOers. Thanks to you and Any Mouse, this blog raised $500 for sure and probably a lot more (after JBelle, Marmitetoasty & Co. checked in directly with the center this p.m.) for this worthy cause. I was hesitant when Any Mouse suggested that I involve the blog in the effort. Alas, one worthy cause can easily lead to another. I don't want to get involved in too many of them. But this one seemed different. How can you deny a basic to babies? Anyway, I admit I was thrilled as I saw you guys step up to the plate and have your formula and dollars counted, especially CDAMom, whom I had the pleasure of meeting and whom matched the first $250 worth of formula donation with a check -- and Thom George, who graciously made a side trip on his way to the airport to drop of the formula and money. I need to think about this one over the weekend. I feel good.
