Question: Thong Man Isn’t Only One Showing Crack

Issue: Cracks found in depot floor sealant: State officials say there’s no evidence of fuel leaks/Erica Curless, Spokesman-Review

More Info: Cracks have been found in the sealant that protects the concrete floors at BNSF Railway’s depot atop the Spokane Valley/Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer, but railroad and state officials said there is no reason for concern and there is no evidence of fuel leaks. Yet a local environmental group questions why the cracks, characterized by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality as “hairline” fissures, weren’t disclosed in public reports made monthly to the Kootenai County Commission.

DFO: I guess I comforted that they’re on top of the matter — right?

Question: As the torturer asked before he fried another of the victim’s teeth in “Marathon Man”: “Is it safe?”
