Her Sandiness Said -- What?

In a press release from Stimson Lumber Company HQ in Portland re: the sale of the Atlas and DeArmond Mill sites to Black Rock, the PRmeister quoted Coeur d'Alene Mayor Sandi Bloem saying the following:

"This arrangement gives us the opportunity to fulfill the goal of the education corridor, to look at quality development on the river, and to guarantee timber jobs in our area."

DFO: Stimson has told Sandi that it will find jobs for the DeArmond crew at its operations in Plummer, Hauser, and Priest River. But I wouldn't hold my breath waiting to see if it's going to hold true to its promise. Nothing in Stimson's track record at IFI/DeArmond would suggest that this company holds to its word.
