McCrory: Give Credit Where Credit’s Due

Bill McCrory: You're not giving enough credit to your editor, Steve Smith, for his backing the reporters who put together the articulate, informative, timely articles (and public records requests) that informed the public. Once the newspaper ripped away the veil of secrecy that had concealed the incompetence, unprofessionalism, and deception by some SPD and SCSO command officers, the public spoke. That's why Spokane County now has Ozzie Knezovich and not Cal Walker and Spokane City PD will have Anne Kirkpatrick and not Bruce Roberts. An informed public represents a threat to entrenched and inept law enforcement chief executives everywhere. Can we persuade Mr. Cowles and Mr. Smith to enlarge the Coeur d'Alene Bureau? Please? All we've got is the Coeur d'Alene Press.

DFO: And Huckleberries, Bill ... and Huckleberries ... I'm here for you.
