CDA Press: NIC Should Listen To Biz Leaders

The customer’s always right. That’s been true since commerce was a bustling babe, it’s true now, and it will be true as long as people have to pay for goods and services. Bulletin to North Idaho College trustees and administrators: The customers are right once again. A diverse group of business leaders in the region has given college trustees a letter stating “no confidence” in NIC President Michael Burke, asking the college’s governing board to reconsider its recently approved contract rollover for Dr. Burke, which ostensibly gives him job security for the next three years. What that means, they say, is not necessarily that they want Burke fired. They simply want their needs as employers met.

Question: Should North Idaho College respond to the biz leaders by supplying more vo-tech courses? Or ignore them?
