Update: Hag’s Desert Digs Clears Another Hurdle
The Palm Desert Planning Commission overruled city staff recommendations to approve a 17,000-square-foot expansion to a 44,000-square-foot project at Bighorn Golf Club. By a vote of 2-1, with Commissioner Cindy Finerty dissenting and Jim Lopez abstaining, the commission on Tuesday approved a recommendation to allow Duane B. Hagadone to increase the graded area on his Bighorn home to 61,000 square feet - close to 1½ acres. The project must go to the City Council for final action. The additional space would be used to add a large, 190-foot-long pool and a 1,500-square-foot sports court.
