Laird Maxwell — The Man Behind Proposition 2

Complete post re: Proposition 2 by Betsy Russell/Eye On Boise here.

"(Laird) Maxwell, pictured, a longtime Idaho activist and the man behind everything from the last-minute anonymous phone calls smearing Boise mayoral candidate Chuck Winder, to attack ads against Supreme Court Justice Linda Copple Trout when she was seeking re-election, to a round of nasty phone calls targeting Sandpoint Sen. Shawn Keough over gay marriage, gets a kick out of the whole thing and says his initiative is part of a “national effort.” After the election, he said, he’s moving to Arizona – home of his new wife, Lori Klein, who works on similar issues in that state. “I’ve already got work down there – same kind of stuff, fight for limited government,” Maxwell said. “Idaho’s gone very liberal.” But even after he moves south, Maxwell said, “I’ll still run stuff up here too" -- Betsy Russell/Eye On Boise
