Alice Rankin: Commish to Decide on Boyington Today

Alice Rankin: Just a reminder to everyone that feels strongly about whether the Kootenai County Commissioners will finally do the correct thing and name the airfield at the Coeur d’Alene Airport in honor of our own Pappy Boyington. The Commissioners have it on their agenda to vote on the issue (today) Aug. 7. It is their regular Tuesday public meeting at 2 PM. It is held upstairs in their conference room. In case of a large turnout, I suppose it could be moved downstairs to meeting room 1A. See you all there.

DFO: For some reason, I believe, the commish will vote this down — and be dead wrong. I hope I’m misreading the tea leaves.
