Wannabe Gookin Complains About Name-Calling

In a Coeur d'Alene Press article by Lucy Dukes this morning, Coeur d'Alene council wannabe Dan Gookin complained about the name-calling in a $33,000 city-commissioned study of the police department. Seems the Results Group mentioned the "CAVE People" (known at Huckleberries Online as Citizens Against Virtually Everything. Calling people names is unproductive, Gookin said, "I'm proud of my public record of demanding government accountability and demanding that certain laws be followed." The report states that CPD Blue shouldn't yield to CAVE People.

DFO: I almost spit my coffee out when I saw this. Unfortunately, Brand X didn't publish the story online, so I have no link to it. I don't want to launch a thread of Gookin name-calling. But I'd like to point out that he called Sgt/Trustee Christie Wood a "snake" b/c he disagreed with a school district move to use LCDC money to upgrade Sorensen magnate school for handicap access. Then, he regularly fumbles my DFO initials around to refer to me as DOof on Brand X blogs. And that's when he uses his real name. (Note to self: This might make a good Huckleberries print column for tomorrow.)
