It’s My 2 Cents — New HBO Civility

We've made it through our first week of neo-civility under the new WWSD Rule (What Would Steve/Smith Do?). It hasn't been easy, as we've all had to learn not to throw elbows. Including myself. It hasn't been easy editting insults out of the comments section. Last night, I found a free-for-all going on among 4 or 5 regulars when I began to post the regular Saturday morning stuff. It was difficult to figure what should go and what shouldn't so I killed the entire tail end of the thread. Including a coupla clever posts. I don't like deleting stuff. But I do like the new level of civility here. I don't think we've lost much under the WWSD Rule. In fact, some of our old faces who shied away from HBO have begun to post again. Also, most of you have discovered that it's still relatively easy to post passionate, edgy comments. If you're going to level an insult, the key is to make the comment generic rather than pointing it specifically at another commenter or blogger. I hope most of you enjoy blog life under the WWSD Rule.
