Spotlight: Post Falls Mayor Clay Larkin (Reporter Dave Turner returns to the North Idaho w/a story for the Inlander: "Mayor on a Mission" here.)

Reporters get checked off as they wait to go through security at a hearing earlier today in Edina, Minn., where attorneys for Sen. Larry Craig are seeking to wipe away a plea by Craig resulting from a mens' room sex sting arrest on June 11 at the Minneapolis airport.

1. Sen. Larry Craig's lawyers appeared in court Wednesday afternoon seeking to overturn his guilty plea in a men's room sex sting. But Hennepin County District Judge Charles A. Porter Jr. made no immediate decision, saying he would issue a ruling no sooner than a week from today here.

2. Lewiston police have arrested a second woman in the beating of an American Indian girl earlier this month. Ashley Grant, 21, was arrested Monday afternoon on a warrant accusing her of felony malicious harassment in the Sept. 12 attack on a 13-year-old girl. Idaho's malicious harassment law makes it a crime to harass or intimidate someone because of race here.

3. Online Poll: 86% of 590 respondents to an Idaho Statesman poll selected "Huh, what's 'Halo'?" when asked "What do you think of the new "Halo 3" video game?"
