What's ironic, though, is when near-tragedy befell me last summer- in danger of having to serve several years in prison because of a previous sentencing error, and I would have had to leave my husband and newborn son and it seemed all I'd worked so hard for to achieve... Well, at that point I was a fairly new believer, and I took the terrifying step of simply turning it over to God, and trying to accept whatever happened gracefully. And wouldn't you know it, when I let go and really meant "Your will, not mine, be done", I found an inner strength and courage I'd never experienced- and then everything wound up working out anyway!/Kendramama, HBO Book Club re: "The Shack."
