Local Blogs — Schwan Driver Won’t Come Today

Kerri Thoreson/OnLocation North Idaho
"If you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes and it will surely change," posts Kerri Thoreson/OnLocation North Idaho. "That statement was true in North Idaho on Thursday. Blue skies turned to wind, rain and hail mid-day. Thunder boomed and lightning cracked. Then it cleared, then it rained some more and on and on it went until early evening when Mother Nature treated us to several spectacular rainbows." (See 2nd Photo in comments section.)

We had just begun to learn about Steve (Aune, 48, of Post Falls) and his life -- grew up in Deer Park on a farm, knew and appreciated Border Collies like those here at the Lovestead who happily accepted his doggie biscuits the minute he stepped out of the truck. Steve was happy to be back up north after spending several years in Arizona. Bill and I both knew we were going like Steve, just as much as our other Schwan's men of the past. Today is Schwan's day, and Steve will not come/Marianne Love, Slight Detour. More here.
