Huckleberries Online

Snow Day Wild Card — 12/18/08

In the middle of the switch over to the new blogware and this Mother of All Snow Storms, I reached a goal that I set at the beginning of the year for the blog: 2.5 million page-views. Huckleberries Online hit that Wednesday. The blog was about 16,000 page-views short when Blogmeister Ryan pulled the switch on the new site and blogware. The page-views ran about 22,000 over the last two days. I remember former editor Steve Smith telling me that he'd be happy if Huckleberries reached 2000 page-views per day. At this dull time of the year, the blog was running between 9000 and 9500. And, of course, during the glory days of the recent presidential campaign, it topped 10,000 page-views regularly. I expect the numbers to drop until readers grow accustomed to the new site. But the future still seems fairly bright. Thanks for coming along for the ride. Now, for your evening Wild Card.
