Stow Picked To Fill Magistrate Post
James Stow was selected to be Kootenai County's next magistrate Friday afternoon. The 43-year-old Bonner County chief deputy will replace Robert Burton, who is retiring at the end of February after 17 years on the bench. Stow edged out six other finalists including Barry Black, Dennis Reuter, Anna Eckhart, Scott Nass, Robert Caldwell and Rudy Verschoor. It was Stow's third attempt at becoming a judge/Marc Stewart, Coeur d'Alene Press.
