Beth’s Adventures: Leaving Wintry CDA In Nick Of Time

Winters in the Idaho Panhandle are rough. Not necessarily due to the precipitation; depending on the presence or absence of El Nino, some winters we have two days of snow and others we have 120. No, it's the gray skies that have been my nemesis. Coeur d'Alene has a lake that is the source of much of the area's beauty (and, as a result, the recent influx of Californians), but also the clouds that hover over the area for most of the winter. Being one of those folks who suffers from Seasonal Affective Disorder, this makes winter doubly tough for me. After a few days of slate gray skies, I'm both homicidal and suicidal. So this winter I finally decided I'd had enough, and headed south for the winter. To sunny Florida, land of beaches and retirees and - sunshine. And it's been glorious/Beth's Adventures. More here.

Question: Do you begrudge snowbirds their freedom to get out of North Idaho as winter sets in?
