Huckleberries Online

HBO’s Best of the Friends’ Blogs — 2/18/08

HBO's Blogfest '08 didn't entirely take over Capone's Saturday.

I am always surprised by the warm welcome I get from the Huckleberries Online community. I’m something of a flamer at HBO weilding a torch whenever the war on drugs comes up. But folks on the other side of the issue seem to believe in a person’s right to say what he thinks, on Dave Oliveria’s sensational blog. When we get together, as we have for these past two years, it’s like my friend Otis G. Experience says: “It’s all good.” Some of the people I like best on the blog are pretty much my political polar opposites, from what I’ve gathered. But talking to people with different views helps one to see the humanity of the other side. We’re just talking about people who care - one way or another. And that’s good for America/Brent Andrews, Chronic Discontent. More here
