NI Skinny: A Lake View, For Now

We sat on Mom's front porch two summers ago and could barely see the Bayview Days fireworks over the tops of the trees. The few rockets that exploded above the waterfront were the only ones we saw, not the low-flying fireworks that glowed off the midnight waters of Lake Pend Oreille, temporarily illuminating the drunken revelers and their boats hull to hull in the water like a lush-hour traffic jam. The view has opened up. The trailer park and trees sheltering the homes of dozens of year-round Bayviewites and warm-weather residents are gone. Porches where people used to sit and drink cold beers in the summer and hang their beach towels to dry have collapsed/Taryn Hecker, The Skinny On North Idaho. More here.

Question: Can you think of an individual project in which progress affected you negatively?
