Cell Phone Saves Ex-Reserve Deputy’s Life In Shootout
A former reserve deputy was shot in the chest during a gunfight with Post Falls police today but escaped serious injury because his cell phone stopped the bullet, authorities said. Christopher J. Kimsey, 33, (pictured) initially thought he was mortally wounded, police said, but suffered only superficial shrapnel wounds during the 8 a.m. shootout in the parking lot of Real Life Ministries near State Highway 41 and Poleline Road in Post Falls.
