Gordon Hinckley, 97, LDS President, RIP

President Gordon B. Hinckley, leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 12 years, died at his apartment in downtown Salt Lake City at 7 p.m. Sunday night from cause’s related to his age, according to the church's Web site.
Members of his family were at his bedside, according to LDS.org. A successor is not expected to be formally chosen by the Church’s Quorum of the Twelve Apostles until after Hinckley’s funeral within the next few days. Hinckley, 97, was the 15th president in the 177-year history of the church and served as its president since March 1995.
