Police and Fire and Street Departments are experiencing an increase in calls for service at this time. We must prioritize our calls for service and respond to emergencies first. In case of a power outage the Fire Department is encouraging citizens to use flashlights instead of candles. It is especially important for residents to shovel around fire hydrants and keep them clear from obstruction. Officers and Firefighters are not able to respond to complaints of snow on sidewalks. We encourage our Block Watch Captains in areas with established Neighborhood Watch groups to mobilize neighbors and assist each other in snow removal/Sgt.
