Bob: Crossing Fingers For Dishman Hills

I'm hoping the Dishman Hills Natural Area, a unique natural area in the valley, the last representing what the land was like pre-white settler and one of my favorite hiking areas ever, didn't burn up too bad. All of the news reports are focusing on the neighborhoods west and east of the Dishman Hills Natural Area which either means the fire hasn't intruded into the actual area or they just aren't focusing on it yet because nobody lives in the Natural Area. It has a few shady wet areas around seasonal ponds and springs which would probably avoid much fire damage but much of it is quite dry ponderosa pine forest with significant underbrush in places/TUBOB. More here.

Question: Have you ever been caught in a natural disaster?
