SR Blogs: Freezing Rhubarb

A caller this morning wanted to know: "Do I have to pack rhubarb in a sugar syrup to freeze it?" The answer is: No. Rhubarb can be cut and frozen without adding anything to it. It's called a dry pack. I usually cut stalks into 1/2 to 3/4-inch chunks and toss them into a zip-top bag and put them into the freezer.
