Yankee Doodle: Brodie got the boot along with Johnson because of a throw the bums out anti-incumbant mood. The list of accomplishments Currie touted when he announced are far outweighed by a lot of things that have not gone well at the county in his two terms. If Cronin plays upon the theme of successful employee lawsuits, the prosecutors office debacle, the planning department revolving door and questionable practices, the assessors office continuing computer miscues and on and on he will plant the question in the minds of voters: As chairman of the board of commissioners shouldn't he be held accountable?

DFO: The Demos may have a very good alternative for those who can't vote for either Rick Currie or Tom Cronin. Mebbe in the other commissioner race, too. Stay tuned.
