Iraq Invasion: 5 Years & Counting
Item: A sobering anniversary: 5 years in Iraq/Dan Webster, Spokesman-Review
More Info: We Americans love to celebrate anniversaries. We embrace marriages and birthdays, plus a few important dates – July 4th, say, or New Year’s Eve – and treat them mostly as excuses to party. When it comes to war, though, we tend to act differently. As anniversaries go, we adopt a more sober attitude, especially when the dates in question refer to a war’s beginnings.
Question: This week marks the 5th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq. Has your opinion of the invasion changed from then until now?
