ISP Investigating Cocolalla Fatalities

Patchy ice, mainly on bridges, was to blame for several crashes region-wide this morning, including one that had two fatalities. Idaho State Police is reporting two fatalities in an accident at U.S. 95 and Blacktail Road, which is near Lake Cocolalla. It also has cleared multiple crashes on the Spokane Street Bridge of Interstate 90 in Post Falls. For more than an hour, troopers and Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputies slowed traffic over the icy bridge to keep more collision from occurring.
