Pro-Life Rattles Idaho GOP Establishment

Idaho Secretary of State Ben Ysursa proposed new legislation this morning to deal with candidates who legally change their name to a political slogan, and the confusion that could create for voters when those slogans appear on the ballot. Idaho has such a candidate this year – “Pro-Life,” who is running for the U.S. Senate as an independent (he formerly was known as Marvin Richardson, pictured). The bill would still allow the politically charged legal name to appear on the ballot, but would require such names to be followed by a parenthetical statement, “A person formerly known as…”/Betsy Russell, SR Eye on Boise. More here (Jim Risch mum on issue here)

Question: What do you think of Marvin Richardson's name change to Pro-Life, to run for the U.S. Senate?
