Bubba says no D’s in Idaho?

The Boise Weekly reports today that former President Bill Clinton is using Idaho as part of a laugh line in his stump speeches, suggesting the Gem State has more elk than Democrats: "From a story in The New York Times, Clinton was savoring the laughs and applause he got for suggesting that one of the first things his wife would do if elected president would be to "bag No Child Left Behind." Relishing the moment, Clinton said, “You can drop me in the middle of Idaho where there’s not a Democrat in 200 miles and an elk would applaud me on that.” We're still waiting for word on relative numbers of Idaho Democrats to resident elk (which brings up its own quandaries: wild elk or farmed elk? Would that be like comparing urban Democrats to rural Dems?)"/Shea Andersen, Boise Weekly – More here

Question: Does Idaho have more elk than Democrats?
